In our continued effort to support worldwide financial literacy, TransUnion has become a national partner with Operation HOPE, a non-profit organization dedicated to financial literacy. For 2007, we have invested $100,000 to support Banking on Our Future, HOPE's youth financial literacy and empowerment program, with our TransUnion associates becoming HOPE Corp volunteers.

Operation HOPE's Banking on Our Future complements our goals: delivering financial literacy and empowerment tools to students ages 9-18 living in under-resourced communities. HOPE Corp members assist in delivering the four-part curriculum, instructing students on the basics of banking and the fundamentals of money management and investments. In addition to the written curriculum, volunteers act as role models, inspiring youth to make comprehensive changes in behavior through dignity and self-reliance.

TransUnion is dedicated to providing quality financial education programs to help students learn how to build their financial lives.  Banking on Our Future works in partnership with local departments of education, local school districts, banking regulatory agencies and over 200 additional public and private partners. The program has received Oprah's Use Your Life Award and the U.S. Treasury Department's John Sherman Award for Financial Literacy Excellence. In the past 10 years, Banking on Our Future has educated more than 210,000 students at almost 500 schools and community-based organizations nationwide.

TransUnion actively supports community organizations around the world that are aligned with our commitment to help businesses, consumers and communities achieve their goals.  I am honored to serve on Operation Hope's National Board and helping advise and direct numerous efforts, like Banking on Our Future, this organization is undertaking throughout the world.  We believe that through the Banking on Our Future program, TransUnion is providing a strong financial education for students today that will help build a strong, global economy tomorrow.
