Login FAQs

I received a security warning screen stating ‘There is a problem with this website’s security certificate’ when logging onto TransUnion Direct. How do I clear this warning?

The steps to clear the security certificate warning can be viewed in the support document.

I forgot my password, or I’ve locked my account by entering the wrong password too many times. How can I access the site?

If you have logged in at least once before, you may reset your password now by using the online password reset function. Select the "Forgot password" or “Login is locked” link on the login page to begin. As a reminder, you selected a challenge question and entered a response during your initial login. To reset your password, you will be asked to enter your user ID and challenge response. You must enter the challenge response exactly as it is listed in your user profile. (If you cannot remember your challenge question, click the “Forgot your challenge question?” link. Provide your user ID and e-mail address to display your challenge question on-screen.) A temporary password will be sent to your e-mail address. Please use the temporary password to log in to TransUnion Direct and then create a new password of your own choosing.

If you are unable to use the online password reset function, you may contact your Company Administrator or Location Administrator for help. If you do not know who your administrators are, you may contact the TransUnion Direct Service Desk at 800-813-5604.

I can’t remember my User ID. How can I look up my User ID, or who can assist me?

Select the “Forgot ID” link on the home page to request a User ID reminder. You will be required to enter your e-mail address, first name, and last name- exactly as it was entered in your user profile. A reminder containing your User ID will be sent to the e-mail address listed in your user profile.

If you are unable to use the online User ID reminder function, you may contact your Company Administrator or Location Administrator for help. If you do not know who your administrators are, you may contact the TransUnion Direct Service Desk at 800-813-5604.

How can I obtain a User ID for TransUnion Direct?
