Credit Cards Q&A

Q: I have a company credit card in my name that was paid late last month. Is this going to hurt my credit score?
A: Unfortunately, if the card is in your name and you're responsible for paying the bill, any late payments go on your record as part of your financial obligations and history, even though the company is reimbursing the actual expense.

If the card is in the company's name rather than yours, and you’re added as an authorized user with the company paying the bill, any late payments would appear on the business credit report rather than your individual report.
