TransUnion Hosts Privacy Experts for Data Privacy Day

TransUnion is committed to data privacy.  As trusted stewards of personal information, we recognize our duty and privilege in protecting that information.  This Data Privacy Week, we hosted multiple events around the theme “Respect Privacy.”  We capped off the week with a Policy with Purpose event for our global associates.

Chris Cartwright, President & CEO of TransUnion, kicked off the event and introduced the speakers. Chief Privacy Officer Shoshana Gillers moderated the discussion on privacy trends impacting the data technology landscape. Former United Kingdom Deputy Information Commissioner, Steve Wood and Privacy for America Advisor, Stu Ingis offered insights into the data technology landscape. The panel also discussed how public policy is shaping the dynamic operating environment for large companies and the consumers they serve.

The event comes on the heels of an op-ed from Shoshana highlighting the importance of establishing a federal standard for data privacy. The op-ed was published at Inside Sources and is available here.
