TransUnion Supports Rep. Stefanik's Service Members Credit Monitoring Enhancement Act

At TransUnion, we are proud to support Representative Elise Stefanik’s (R-NY) Service Members Credit Monitoring Enhancement Act. This bipartisan legislation ensures that all active duty military are afforded free credit monitoring services that TransUnion currently offers other designated service members.

Congresswoman Stefanik’s bill will help thousands of service members by amending the Fair Credit Reporting Act to include Reservists and the National Guard as covered entities. This means that those individuals will receive unlimited access to their credit file and notifications within 48 hours of any critical change.

TransUnion values our military service members and supports those who protect our Nation. We fully support this legislation and will continue to work with Congress to ensure that all active duty service members can benefit from greater access to free credit monitoring services.
