US Gig Economy: Platforms must focus on gig worker satisfaction

Nearly half (43%) of respondents to a recent TransUnion survey are already part of the gig economy. That number is likely to grow as workers across all generations see benefits from tapping the gig economy for both full- and part-time work and long- and short-term opportunities.

In August 2024, TransUnion surveyed more than 1000 US adult workers to better understand who's using gig platforms, why they're using them, and what platforms can do to keep workers engaged and active.
