When we provide personal information to third parties, we’re enabling them to offer relevant products for consumers like you. If you opt out, the companies we partner with may no longer offer you personalized experiences. We want you to have the opportunities that may benefit you. However, we fully support your right to opt out and have developed a process for you to exercise this right.

If you do not want to create a user account, you may submit your request as a guest. Responses to requests submitted as a guest will be mailed. Note that if you already have a TransUnion Service Center account you won't be able to submit your request as a guest. You may already have an account if you completed any of the following actions online through TransUnion: requested your credit report, filed a dispute or added a credit freeze or fraud alert.
Request that personal information maintained by TransUnion be deleted. Some information, such as what appears on your credit report, can’t be deleted through this process. If you want to dispute information on your credit report, visit our Credit Dispute page to learn more.

In addition to opting out and limiting the use of your personal information, deleting your personal information and requesting a copy of your personal information, you also have the following rights. There is no action associated with these:

Not all data maintained by TransUnion is subject to U.S. state privacy laws. For example, credit reports and the information in them are governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). When you make a privacy request, it’s important to know that your credit report information will be retained and used to ensure you can continue to access the opportunities that credit can provide. Other exceptions to U.S. state privacy laws may apply, such as personal data that is Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), Nonpublic Personal Information (NPI) under GLBA (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act) , driver's information under DPPA (Driver's Privacy Protection Act), de-identified data, data used to prevent, detect, and investigate fraud or security incidents., and publicly available data.
